Foreign Stock Market Problems
There just is not much information about foreign stocks. It's a problem of how to find, evaluate, and buy a foreign stock that is actually from a real company.Lucky for you there are a number of foreign stocks that are traded on some American stock exchanges just like US companies are. But how can stocks from foreign countries be identified from US stocks?
The US investing community created American Depository Receipts (ADR) make possible the trading of foreign stocks. What happens is that a US bank buys a large amount of stock in foreign companies and packages the shares to be sold on American stock exchanges. The foreign stock is not hard to spot because they have the letters “ADR” at the end of the name of the foreign stock.
